A multi-million pound "theme park" dedicated to sex and relationships is to open in Britain next year, it has been announced.
The London Academy of Sex and Relationships will teach members of the public how to become better lovers and understand attraction and rejection.
Sexual chemistry, erogenous zones and orgasms will all be explained in the permanent exhibition at London's Trocadero, as well as sexually transmitted diseases and erectile dysfunction.
Sex therapists, historians and artists will have worked for 18 months to bring the exhibition into reality by the time it opens next spring.
A spokesman for the £4.7 million project, which is expected to attract more than 600,000 visitors each year, said the exhibits would not be seedy or pornographic.
"Titillation is not the goal," he said. "This is not a sex museum like those in Amsterdam, Barcelona and Paris, which tend to veer towards pornography for commercial benefit alone."
The project has garnered support from The Terrence Higgins Trust, Relate, Avert and the Sexual Dysfunction Association.
Ann Tailor, director of the Sexual Dysfunction Association, said: "Through the academy we can break the taboos surrounding sexual dysfunction and stop people suffering in silence."
Dr Sarah Brewer, director of exhibits at the academy, said: "The academy is the perfect vehicle by which to address these important matters in an exciting, amusing and yet educational way.
"It's one huge step towards creating a widespread understanding of human sexual health and relationships on a global scale."
