New Pill Approved to Treat Multiple Sclerosis 2010-09-23

The Food and Drug Administration recently approved the multiple sclerosis pill Gilenya, according to a new article in The New York Times.

The disease is a neurological one, and the article says that symptoms include “dizziness, fatigue, blurred or double vision and cognitive problems.”

The story notes that currently, only injectable are available to treat M.S.; Gilenya will be an oral treatment.
