Study: Using Viagra For Fun May Make You Need Viagra 2012-07-26
By Christopher Robbins

Recreational users of Viagra may want to think twice before they "Ride the Blue Diamond" with their ladyfriends after that Ice Age 3 matinee this weekend. According to a forthcoming study to be published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine, men who use erectile dysfunction drugs recreationally may be more likely to develop a psychological dependence on them. "Among young, healthy men who used ED medicines recreationally, the more frequent ED medicine use was associated with lower confidence in achieving and maintaining erections, which in turn was associated with lower erectile function," the study's lead author said. This is known is scientific circles as The Nelson Effect.

More than 1,200 men with an average age of 22 were chosen for the study, with 72 of them being recreational users of the drug, 24 of them being prescribed it and the rest not taking it at all. The author noted that some of the men seemed to have "unreasonable standards," which, yeah. Bottom line: using ED drugs will make you actually have to use stronger ED drugs, and then you'll have to wait for THUNDR, a drug that allows users to maintain an erection at all times, to be approved by the FDA.
