Viagra pills, counterfeit cigars, handbags seized 2012-07-31

LADY LAKE, Fla. -

Police said six people were arrested as part of a counterfeit bust in Lake County, and thousands of items were seized, including cigars, CDs and Viagra pills.

Syed Hossain, 44, was charged with sale of contact lenses without a license, sale of contact lenses without a prescription and sale of unauthorized copies of phonographic recordings

Janakkumar Patel, 30, was charged with sale of counterfeit products.

Ram Krishan Wadhwa, 73, was charged with sale of counterfeit products.

Anwarali Thanwala, 51, was charged with sale of unauthorized copies of phonographic records.

Tajnuth Singh, 27, was charged with sale of counterfeit products.

Majior Rahaman, 24, was charged with sale of counterfeit products, sale of contact lenses without a license and sale of contact lenses without a prescription.

Police seized the following items while serving the search warrants:

Lady Lake Discount Beverage in Lady Lake: 13 counterfeit Cohiba cigars worth an estimated $130.

Lake Dora Discount Beverage in Tavares: 61 unauthorized copies of CDs worth an estimated $61.

Discount Tobacco Shop in Tavares: 2,700 counterfeit Cohiba cigars, 25 counterfeit name brand cellphone cases worth an estimated $28,000.

Bay Street Food Mart and Warehouse in Eustis: 21 counterfeit Louis Vuitton, Coach, Gucci and Burberry handbags and wallets, 10 unauthorized CDs, non-tax-paid tobacco, 2,800 Viagra pills and 21 Nike hats at an estimated $69,520.

Lees Market in Eustis: Two watches, two pairs of Nike shoes and 50 pairs of contact lenses worth $1,590.

Discount Shop & Go in Eustis: 720 pairs of contact lenses worth at an estimated $40.

The total value of the items was estimated at $100,750, police said.
