Today a district court judge ruled that RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner is a drug, not a cosmetic. The ruling came in a civil lawsuit filed by Allergan Inc., maker of Latisse, a drug intended for the treatment of hypotrichosis. Athena Cosmetics, Inc., maker of the RevitaLash® brand of cosmetics, disagrees with the ruling, and intends to vigorously pursue its legal options. Despite the Court's ruling, Athena is confident that all RevitaLash® products are safe and lawful cosmetics. However, out of an abundance of caution, Athena has suspended domestic sales of RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner until further notice. All other RevitaLash® products remain available for purchase.
